Hospitals reduce carbon emissions and packaging waste with ProcedurePak^®

By implementing ProcedurePak^® trays hospitals can reduce their carbon footprint significantly. This has been shown at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK.

The NHS Trust worked with Mölnlycke Health Care to create a series of ProcedurePak trays for different interventions. The positive result from having one pack with all single use components needed for a specific surgery was not only savings in time and cost but also reduced impact on the environment. 

The sustainability analysis identified significant savings in both carbon footprint (five tonnes reduction) and volume of packaging waste (90% reduction).
