Why develop new drapes?

 

In our extensive review of feedback from our customers, it was clear that existing draping solutions did not meet the special needs of orthopaedic surgery.



This is why we designed new BARRIER® drapes for enhanced performance in demanding surgical procedures.

 

  • The very nature of orthopaedic surgery, with the use of sharp and heavy tools, requires strong and durable surgical drapes that can withstand tearing.

  • Surgery that includes implants and other foreign material in the body requires extra attention to infection control.

  • Effective fluid handling properties are needed to achieve drier working area and keep liquid off feet and floor.

  • Ease of use and quick draping procedure is required to avoid the risk for contamination and time loss.
