Areas of use
Ete® is suitable for the management of wounds in the granulation phase, such as leg ulcers, decubitus and minor burns.
How Ete works
Ete is easy to apply. The wound contact layer minimizes adhesion and transports the wound exudate in to the absorbent core.
The chequered stitching pattern creates a cushion-like effect which promotes absorption and limits the spread of wound secretion outside the wound area, thereby avoiding maceration and irritation of the surrounding skin. Ete is soft and breathable, and has a good protective cushioning.
Design
Ete is made of a wound contact layer of rayon silk with an absorbent core of soft rayon wadding which is carefully stitched with a nonabsorbent polyester thread, providing internal strength and binding the two layers together.
Frequency of change
Ete may be left in place for several days, depending on the wound and skin condition, or as indicated by a healthcare professional.
Precautions
Ete should not be used on infected wounds without consulting a healthcare professional.
