Community support

As a leader in the healthcare sector, Mölnlycke feels a strong sense of commitment to the medical profession and to patients undergoing treatment. By donating time and money, Mölnlycke helps improve the lives of patients and support those who care for them.

We donate both cash and products to different organizations in many countries all over the world. Two examples are:

Red Cross-led health project in Zambia:

The target group is about 710 000 children in Zambia who have lost one or both parents to HIVAIDS. The project aims to improve the physical and mental health of the children and their families through education and material and psychosocial support.

Donations to Haiti:

Mölnlycke Health Care donates €100,000 worth of products to selected crisis relief agencies to help alleviate the suffering of the victims and to help re-supply hospitals. Read more

Operation Smile:

Operation Smile is a charity that gives children from developing countries the opportunity to undergo surgery for cleft lip and palate correction. Every year, Mölnlycke donates approximately 100,000 pairs of the double-glove Biogel® Indicator™ gloves and 10 000 wound dressings to Operation Smile.

Charity Guideline:

Our charity guideline aims to ensure that we, as a company, support trustworthy organizations in keeping with the environment in which we operate. The organizations supported should:

  • Clearly state their mission and purpose.
  • Work in the medical field.
  • Be actively engaged in either working to improve the lives of patients, to improve staff protection or to increase the level of knowledge in the medical field.
  • Provide credible and measurable results. Research should be based on solid scientific facts.
