How to use
Product description
Mepitac is a soft silicone tape. It consists of:
- A soft silicone contact layer (Safetac)
- A knitted fabric
- A breathable polyurethane film
Safetac Technology
Safetac is a patented soft silicone adhesive technology. The dressings with Safetac are atraumatic dressings both during use and upon removal. These dressings provide a major development in minimising trauma to the skin and minimising pain for the patient.
Mode of action

Instructions for use en
- Make sure the skin is clean and dry and free from any
ointment etc.
- Cut off the desired length of tape using scissors.
- Remove the protective release film and apply Mepitac without
stretching.
- If inspection or repositioning is necessary, Mepitac can be lifted and re-applied.
Precautions
The adhesion of Mepitac may decrease when used in humid condition such as incubators or on patients who have a fever or perspire a lot.
Mepitac is not suitable for fixation of arterial catheters and arterial
cannulae.
