Anatomically shaped bandage for venous disorders
Tubigrip Shaped Support Bandage (TSSB) is a support bandage used to aid venous and lymphatic return in the management of venous disorders of the legs and arms. TSSB may also be used as an undercast stockinette in cast bracing, for support following cast removal and to provide pressure therapy in the treatment of post-burn scarring.
TSSB is constructed from anatomically-shaped Tubigrip. Tubigrip is made from cotton with covered elastic threads laid into the fabric to form free-moving spirals. The fabric is available in two colours – natural shade and flesh shade.
Tubigrip Shaped Support Bandage provides lasting, effective support while allowing ambulant patients complete freedom of movement. The bandage only stretches radially and this property enables it to provide support without rucking or slipping down. TSSB can be washed or autoclaved for repeated use, without loss of efficacy. Reapplication after washing is quick and easy for patients.
Only a single measurement around the calf or forearm is required for precise size selection. The range of five full-leg and three below-knee bandages ensures a good fit for the majority of patients. The choice of two shades helps suit an individual patient’s preference.
