Biogel protection in action: Operation Smile mission

Plastic Surgeon Jenny Cajander from Umeå, Sweden has been on several Operation Smile missions, for instance to Ethiopia and Peru. “The biggest difference between a normal working day in Sweden and a surgery day on a mission is the workload and the conditions under [which] we work,” she says. To minimize the risk of infection, Cajander feels that it is very important to use as good equipment on a mission as she does at home, for example single-use surgical gloves. Watch her story.
