Sharing innovation and knowledge at EWMA 2015

By: Mölnlycke Health Care, April 8 2015Posted in: Wound care

One of the best showcases for innovation is in the sharing of knowledge and best practices, and the annual EWMA congress is one of the best places to learn about, share and discuss developments in wound management.

Each year Mölnlycke Health Care participates in and contributes to the EWMA event, helping to highlight the importance of optimizing wound care practice with both innovation and efficiency and cost-effectiveness. At EWMA 2015, the booth will exemplify the company’s commitment to and passion for wound care management and the professionals and patients who use wound care products.

This year Mölnlycke Health Care is launching two new advanced wound care products. Mepilex® XT, an innovative wound dressing, incorporating Safetac® adhesive technology, tackles highly viscous exudate and uses unique exudate channels to effectively absorb highly viscous fluid and draw it away from the wound bed. Exufiber®, a gelling fibre dressing, using patented Hydrolock® technology, captures and retains highly viscous exudate1. Both products represent Mölnlycke Health Care's focus on less pain and trauma for patients as well as time savings for healthcare personnel.

Throughout the day, there will be open-lab sessions in the booth featuring hands-on demonstrations on these revolutionary new dressings. See our schedule...

Because sharing is at the heart of EWMA, Mölnlycke Health Care aims to share with visitors to its booth and give them reasons to share in return. Apart from showing new product at work, the booth is set up to be a place where sharing is encouraged. There will be a juice bar offering organic, fresh juices and nutritious snack along with a place for visitors to sit, relax, share and reflect. In addition, there will be spinning cycles set up for visitors to share their energy. For every one kilometre cycled, Mölnlycke Health Care will donate five EUR to the DEBRA International charity. There will also be an area in the booth for visitors to share their experience in the wound care field or healthcare in general.

Outside the booth, Mölnlycke Health Care’s leadership in wound care management is on display as the company hosts two symposia: Pressure Ulcer Prevention Pathway, focusing on pressure ulcer prevention, and Changing the way we look at viscous exudate, focusing on types of exudate and the effective management of highly exuding wounds.

Mölnlycke Health Care is looking forward to meeting you at the EWMA 2015 congress in London May 13-15.
