Ophthalmic surgery

Ophthalmic surgery

Ophthalmic, or ocular, surgery, is a surgical procedure undertaken on the eye. The eye is quite fragile, requiring extreme care before, during, and after a surgical procedure. Typical procedures can include a wide range of different areas, including laser-eye surgery, cataract, glaucoma, refractive-corrective, orbital, oculoplastic surgeries and other subspecialities of the field.
