On the first day of the conference, Mölnlycke presented a satellite symposium featuring a panel of seven world-renowned experts -- Michelle Barakat-Johnson, Evan Call, Guido Ciprandi, Sue Creehan, Amit Gefen, Bill Padula and Nick Santamaria. These thought leaders combined their diverse areas of expertise to focus on enhancing the standards of care for pressure ulcer prevention through advanced innovation and collaboration.
Later that day, customers were also invited to a Mölnlycke workshop about protecting very young children from pressure ulcers in the hospital. While pressure ulcer prevention places much focus on the older generation, this workshop addressed the specialised needs and protection required by the vulnerable neonatal and paediatric populations. A live demonstration by our expert Ann Marie Nie, Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse/HAC Lead of Hospital Acquired Condition on Pressure Injuries, Children’s Hospital & Clinics of Minnesota, gave the audience a practical idea of how they could apply this to their own practice and many attendees stayed on afterwards for further discussions.
