Gently adheres to dry surfaces such as intact skin, while avoiding adherence to moist surfaces, like open wounds; 2. Conforms to skin pores and a larger skin surface area, preventing skin shedding upon removal; 3. Seals the wound area to reduce the risk for maceration. Mechanism of action Mepilex Ag is a dressing that can absorb exudate. It also maintains a moist wound environment. Antimicrobial soft silicone foam dressing is used to treat wounds with low to moderate exudation levels, such as leg or foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and partial-thickness burns.
