Mepilex Transfer Ag

Mepilex® Transfer Ag consists of an absorbent pad, wound contact layer, and release film. Mepilex Transfer Ag is a soft silicone wound contact layer that absorbs and transfers exudate and maintains a moist wound healing environment. Mepilex Transfer Ag contains silver sulphate, which releases silver ions upon contact with wound fluid, creating an effective bacterial barrier. In vitro studies have shown that Mepilex Transfer Ag inhibits common wound-related pathogens (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Enterococcus faecalis, Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterobacter cloacae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Candida guilliermondii) for up to 14 days. Mepilex Transfer Ag is designed for a wide range of low to high exuding leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, partial thickness burns and donor sites that are difficult to dress, where there is a risk of infection.
