Mepilex Border Sacrum

Mepilex Border Sacrum is a self-adherent, absorbent dressing. The composition is as follows: 1. a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac®) 2. a flexible absorbent pad in three layers: a polyurethane foam, a non-woven spreading layer and a layer with super absorbent polyacrylate fibres 3. an outer polyurethane film which is vapour permeable and waterproof Safetac® is an adhesive technology that minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds and the surrounding skin. Mepilex Border Sacrum is a self-adherent dressing that absorbs exudate, maintains a moist wound environment and minimises the risk for maceration. As Mepilex Border Sacrum maintains a moist wound environment, supporting debridement, there might be an initial increase in the wound size. This is normal and to be expected.
