Mepilex Border Post-Op

Mepilex Border Post-Op is a self-adherent dressing that absorbs blood exudate and minimises the risk for maceration. The product consists of four parts, and is divided into C-cut and Y-cut depending on the cut of absorbent wound pad: 1) Backing film: C-cut and Y-cut: a transparent polyurethane backing film coated with pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. 2) Absorbent wound pad: C-cut and Y-cut: It consists of two parts, an absorbent layer with polyester and acrylic fiber, and a distance layer with bicomponent fiber of polypropylene and polyethylene (PE/PP) and viscose fiber. 3) Wound contact layer: C-cut: It consists of two parts, a perforated polyurethane film coated with pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive, and a perforated soft silicone (polydimethylsiloxane) wound contact layer. Y-cut: It consists of two parts, a semi perforated polyurethane film coated with pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive, and a semi perforated soft silicone (polydimethylsiloxane) wound contact layer. 4) Protective layer: C-cut: It consists of two parts, the shorter part is white polyethylene release film, and the longer part is transparent polyethylene release film. Y-cut: It consists of two or three parts, white polyethylene release film.
