Mepilex XT

Mepilex® XT is an absorbent, self-adhesive soft silicone foam dressing composed of a breathable, waterproof outer polyurethane film, a polyurethane foam absorbent pad, and a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac). It is sterilized using ethylene oxide and provided for single use only. Mepilex® XT is a soft silicone wound dressing that absorbs both low and high viscous exudates. Safetac® technology Safetac® is a soft silicone adhesive technology. It minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds at dressing removal. Mepilex XT is a soft silicone wound dressing that absorbs both low and high viscous exudates, as validated by in vitro testing using simulated in vivo exudates. Mepilex XT is a dressing designed for a wide range of exuding acute and chronic wounds in all healing stages such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and traumatic wounds, e.g. skin tears and secondary healing wounds.
