About the PITA Group

The Australian Pressure Injury Treatment Advisory (PITA) Group is a national collective of expert clinicians formed in 2021 to address a growing need for simplified, practical tools to support front line pressure injury assessment and treatment. The group brings together specialist nurses, nurse practitioners, educators, researchers and professors of nursing from across Australia, each with extensive clinical and academic experience in wound management.

Their work is framed around high quality evidence and international guideline alignment, while remaining clinician-friendly and applicable across acute, aged care, home care and community settings. The PITA Quick Guide was formally published as a supplement by Wounds International and supported by Mölnlycke Health Care, ensuring broad accessibility and adherence to established guideline standard
