Welcome to the Silent Hero Awards – a global initiative created to recognise the unsung heroes whose everyday actions help prevent pressure injuries and protect patients before harm occurs.
Category winners will receive a 2027 annual membership to Wounds Australia or the New Zealand Wound Care Society (based on location).
Entries close 31st October 2026, with winners announced during Worldwide Stop Pressure Injury Day - 26th November 2026.
Winners are selected by an independent judging panel through a blinded review process.

The Silent Hero Awards feature five categories recognising outstanding contributions to pressure injury prevention. Each category highlights individuals or teams whose preventative work has made a meaningful difference, acknowledging that prevention relies on many different roles working together.
