Mepilex Heel

Mepilex® Heel is a soft silicone foam dressing uniquely shaped to conform to the contours of the heel. Designed for the management of wounds with moderate to high levels of wound fluid, Mepilex Heel is indicated for pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, and post-surgical wounds located on or around the heel. The dressing features Safetac® Technology, which minimises pain and trauma during dressing changes by adhering gently to the skin without sticking to the wound bed. This helps preserve healthy tissue and supports uninterrupted wound healing. Its multi-layered construction provides excellent fluid absorption and retention, thereby reducing the risk of maceration and promoting a moist wound healing environment. Mepilex Heel is easy to apply and stays securely in place, even on the curved and mobile surface of the heel. It can be used in both clinical and home care settings and is suitable for use by lay persons under supervision of Healthcare Professionals.
