Who is Mousa Asiri?
Mousa Asiri works as Head Nurse in Wound Care at Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Alongside his clinical role, he is actively involved in research, education and quality improvement initiatives focused on pressure injury prevention and evidence-based nursing practice. He also contributes as a peer reviewer for international scientific journals.
Mousa got into nursing and wound care because he wanted to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. He became especially interested in pressure injury prevention after recognising that many injuries can be avoided through early assessment, education and evidence-based care.
Today, he supports healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality preventative care through research, education and clinical leadership. His professional goal is to bridge research, clinical practice and education to strengthen preventative care and improve patient outcomes.
Mousa believes that The Silent Hero Awards can play an important role in increasing awareness of preventative care and recognising the healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to improve patients’ lives. He hopes the initiative will inspire continued excellence, innovation and stronger patient safety practices across healthcare systems.
