Who is Rehab Aldossari?
Rehab Aldossari is a Clinical Nurse Specialist specialising in advanced wound care and skin integrity. She holds a master’s degree in wound care management and is a licensed Enterostomal Therapist. She is also a member of the Wound Consultant Committee at the Saudi Ministry of Health and serves as Saudi Arabia’s representative in the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel.
Rehab’s passion for improving patients’ quality of life led her to choose a career in wound care. She was drawn to the specialty by its unique combination of science, innovation and compassion – and by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through both prevention and treatment.
Today, her work includes caring for patients with complex wounds, supporting prevention programmes, educating healthcare professionals and contributing to research and guideline development. She wants to empower nurses and healthcare teams through training so they feel confident in managing complex wounds, while helping patients live with greater comfort, dignity and quality of life.
For Rehab, being part of the panel is an opportunity to highlight the dedication and hard work of healthcare professionals who make a real difference in patients’ lives, often behind the scenes. She hopes to contribute with her experience and perspective in wound care, prevention and education to ensure the award celebrates those who truly deserve it.
