Mölnlycke Health Care announces new partnership with DEBRA International to help advance wound care for the EB community
Mölnlycke is partnering with DEBRA International, the world’s leading epidermolysis bullosa (EB) patient advocacy network, to deepen understanding of the needs of people living with EB and help advance wound care for the global EB community.

For people living with EB, extremely fragile skin can lead to chronic, painful wounds and dressing changes are part of everyday life. The rare genetic condition affects the skin and mucous membranes, and an estimated 500,000 people worldwide live with EB.
These challenges make safety and gentleness essential considerations in wound care. Dressings need to help manage the risk of infection while minimising further trauma to vulnerable skin. Several Mölnlycke dressings with Safetac® technology are included among the wound care solutions set out in international consensus best-practice guidelines for the management of EB.
DEBRA International supports people affected by EB through a network spanning more than 45 countries. Its mission is to empower people living with EB, and those who support them, with the knowledge and tools they need to improve their quality of life.
Through the partnership, Mölnlycke will have an opportunity to deepen its understanding of patients’ needs and the challenges they face. It will also enable sharing of best practice with specialist nurses and EB centres, helping to raise awareness and strengthen Mölnlycke’s approach to EB wound care through closer connections with the people who live with and manage the condition every day.
Together with DEBRA International, Mölnlycke aims to advance the standard of care for people living with EB.
