Mepilex XT

Mepilex XT is a highly conformable dressing with integrated exudate channels that absorbs both low and high viscous exudates, maintains a moist wound environment and minimises the risk for maceration. The dressing has Safetac® wound contact layer that is a unique adhesive technology. It minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds and the surrounding skin at dressing removal. Mepilex XT consists of: • a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac) • a flexible absorbent pad of polyurethane foam • an outer polyurethane film which is breathable but waterproof Mepilex XT is a dressing designed for a wide range of exuding acute and chronic wounds in all healing stages such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and traumatic wounds, e.g. skin tears and secondary healing wounds.
