This symposium will facilitate a high-level clinical and strategic exchange focused on overcoming real-world barriers to implementing hospital-wide PIP programmes.

Learning Objectives

  • Review the latest evidence and best practices for implementing and sustaining hospital-wide pressure injury prevention (PIP) programmes.
  • Identify key clinical, operational, and organisational barriers to pressure injury prevention and evaluate strategies to overcome them.
  • Assess the clinical and economic impact of pressure injuries, including the value of prevention strategies and the role of prophylactic dressings in at-risk patients.
  • Apply practical insights and quality improvement strategies to strengthen pressure injury prevention efforts and improve patient outcomes within their own healthcare settings.
